A start-up technology firm has moved to a Wiltshire town amidst an “international high-tech boom” in the area.
Medical technology businesses CheqUp, which provides advanced weight loss programmes using breakthrough medication, has moved into offices at Bewley House in Chippenham.
The firm, which is approved to provide services to the NHS, joins Siemens and two other international businesses at the site, located off Marshfield Road near the town centre.
Commercial property provider HPH, which owns the building, believes Chippenham is experiencing a boom attracting some of the UK’s most exciting businesses due to its convenient location.

Russell Frith, Wiltshire Council inward investment manager, said: “Chippenham is one of Wiltshire’s most important centres for tech businesses.
“Of all the M4 towns, it has the quickest access to the motorway and rail networks, which means excellent travel times to nearby towns as well as London, Bristol, Cardiff and beyond.
“These advantages are clearly an attraction to some of the UK’s most exciting businesses.”
Just one suite remains unoccupied at Bewley House after CheqUp took over the ground floor.
Director James Hunt added: “We are delighted to be opening our new distance-selling pharmacy in Chippenham.
“We needed a location that was practical and attractive for our growing team and Bewley House is perfect.”
