Police have been enforcing a new 20mph speed limit during a crackdown on speeding hotspots in Swindon.
Officers from the Stratton Neighbourhood Policing Team were carrying out speed checks between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, October 17.
During these checks, police targeted speeding drivers in a number of hotspot areas raised by the community as roads that cause concern.
This included Ridgeway Road, where a 20mph speed limit has recently been implemented.

Police say the majority of drivers travelled within the speed limit, however some were caught breaking the new restrictions.
Officers did not issue tickets to these offenders on this occasion, but added they would be returning and that anyone caught breaking the limit would face punishment.
A spokesperson for the force said: “It was good to see that the majority of road users were abiding by the speed limit.
“There is a new 20 MPH speed limit on Ridgeway Road. Some drivers were caught a little over the speed limit and on this occasion, we have used our discretion to give suitable words of advice and educate drivers.
“We will be back again and we will be issuing tickets to enforce the speed limit.”
