Your kids could make a big contribution to your family shop by taking part in a new challenge where they could win a £250 Aldi voucher.

An ongoing competition offers children from Wiltshire and Swindon to show their arty side to design a poster encouraging people to recycle.

It comes amid Recycle Week, which runs from October 14 to 20 - but the competition runs well beyond this. There are 14 Aldi stores in Wiltshire, with seven in and around Swindon alone.

The entries will be judged by a panel of Aldi’s sustainability experts, with the three winning designs taking pride of place in Aldi’s UK headquarters to encourage colleagues to recycle.

Aldi says the challenge follows the supermarket chain's continued efforts to reduce the amount of single-use plastic and increase recycled content in its packaging.

Luke Emery, national sustainability director at Aldi, said: “We hope this competition inspires the next generation to embrace small changes that can make a big difference to the planet, and we look forward to receiving a diverse range of entries.”

To enter the competition, parents and teachers just need to submit their children's poster design on a piece of A4 paper (portrait) via email to aldicompetitions@citypress.co.uk.

Entries open on Monday 14th October 2024 and close in several weeks on Friday 8th November 2024.
