Police are searching for two men in connection with an incident of alleged fraud involving a BMW.

Officers are investigating an incident which is reported to have taken place in Market Lavington on September 18.

Unknown suspects were viewing a BMW X5 when they allegedly tampered with the car’s engine and claimed it was faulty, in an attempt to reduce the price of the vehicle.

This sparked a police investigation, and officers have now released images of two men that they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The two men, or anyone who recognises them, have been urged to get in touch with police.

A spokesperson for the force added: “We would like to identify the two men pictured in connection with a fraud incident which took place in Market Lavington on September 18.

“Officers investigating this incident believe the two men pictured can help with their enquiries.

“While we appreciate the quality of the images are poor, we think they are sufficient for identification by anyone who may know the men.
