In recent weeks police have been stationed at numerous locations throughout Wiltshire in order to carry out speed checks on the county’s roads.

These locations have ranged from major routes like the M4 and the A419 to smaller roads through Wiltshire villages.

The speed checks are part of Wiltshire Police’s campaign to crack down on the “fatal five” offences that contribute to serious crashes.

As well as excess speed, these offences include driving without a seatbelt, using a phone while driving, drink or drug driving, and careless and dangerous driving.
