The week before officers from Wiltshire Police’s Chippenham Neighbourhood Team were stationed on London Road to clock any drivers speeding into Chippenham from the Calne direction.
During these checks, six drivers were caught travelling along the busy 30mph road at excess speed and were stopped by police and again issued “words of advice”.
Police issued a warning to other drivers in the area, urging them to stick to the speed limit to prevent crashes on Wiltshire’s roads.
A spokesperson said at the time: “Please drive carefully and stick to the speed limits to protect yourself and others on the road.”
