Video captured the moment police battered in a door during a drug bust to arrest a suspected dealer.

A warrant was carried out in Warminster as part of a police operation codenamed “Scorpion”, with the resident arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Further arrests have also been made.

Class A drugs are those deemed the most dangerous and result in heavier sentences.

Police sergeant Russel of the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing team said: “This morning we conducted a section eight warrant at an address in Warminster.

“A person within the address was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

 

“ Further arrests have also been made. The warrant was conducted in order to disrupt drug dealers within our community.

“If you know any drug dealers within your community or that you suspect of drug dealing please contact us on 101.”

Operation Scorpion was launched by Wiltshire Police and four other South West police forces to target county lines across the South West in a series of drug busts.

Recently, a large-scale police investigation as part of the operation uncovered more than £95,000 worth of drugs in Wiltshire and led to 23 arrests seven days of operations.
