Police are appealing for witnesses after a van driver reportedly crashed into another vehicle while overtaking on a road in Wiltshire.
Officers were called to a crash during rush hour around 8am on Snowberry Lane in Melksham and motorists were advised to avoid the area while traffic was queueing around the Spa Road double roundabouts.
They believe a white Citroen van was overtaking an off-duty paramedic when it crashed into an oncoming grey Peugeot 5008, leaving the Peugeot driver needing treatment at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Traffic in the area returned to normal at 9:44am.
Police investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information about a reported head-on crash which took place on Snowberry Lane, Melksham, at around 8am this morning (09/10).
“The driver of a white Citroen van is said to have overtaken an off-duty paramedic before colliding with an oncoming grey Peugeot 5008.
“The Peugeot driver suffered injuries and was transported to Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is asked to call us on 101 quoting reference number 41 of today’s date (09/10).”
