Sprinters Dina Asher-Smith and Zharnel Hughes have been recruited as Amazon's "speediest delivery duo".

The UK's fastest man and woman made special deliveries ahead of Prime Big Deal Days on October 8 and 9.

The two-day event offers Amazon Prime members access to hundreds of thousands of deals.

Swindon is home to a large Amazon site just off the A420 as well as a smaller delivery station.

The Olympians star in a short film for the event, racing to deliver Prime packages and handing over products to customers.

Ms Asher-Smith said: "Speed really matters to me, so I jumped at the chance to help the Amazon team make customers feel like a big deal with even faster deliveries for Prime Big Deal Days."

Mr Hughes added: "There are deliveries, and there are fast deliveries, and then there are Zharnel Prime deliveries.

"It took some practice swapping batons for parcels but I’m confident I took it to another level.”

Ms Asher-Smith and Mr Hughes have also helped to announce the expansion of Amazon's same-day delivery service, now available for millions of products in 81 towns and cities across the UK, with Aberdeen, Middlesbrough, and Plymouth recently added.
