A driver has been arrested following a single-car crash in Wiltshire.
Police were called to a collision in Shrewton on the night of Saturday, October 5, in which a car appeared to have left the road and sustained significant damage to the front bumper.
Officers carried out a roadside breath test at the scene and the driver of the only vehicle involved allegedly failed.
They were arrested and taken into police custody, and allegedly blew double the legal alcohol level.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police’s Special Constabulary said: “Road safety team and Specials from Salisbury CPT attended a single vehicle road traffic collision in Shrewton last night.
“Driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested blowing double the limit in custody.”
