Wiltshire Police have issued a warning to motorists following a spike in thefts from vehicles.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team in Warminster have received reports over the past couple of days after thieves have targeted parked vehicles late at night and early in the morning.
They say that company vans in the Codford area have been targeted in particular.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “To help protect your vehicles and belongings please remind yourself to: lock your vehicle, park when possible in well-lit areas, remove your valuables or high value tools and be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to the Police by calling 999.
“We will be increasing patrols in the affected areas and working actively to identify individuals responsible.
“We encourage everyone to stay alert and work together to prevent further incidents.”
