A Wiltshire beauty therapist is now rated among the world’s Top 50 after winning a top award in a national final.
Lisa Carter, of Lisa’s Beauty Room in Roundstone Street, Trowbridge, won Bronze Beauty Therapist of the Year award in The Beauty Full Awards 2024.
The placing holds only 40 spaces, meaning she is now ranked in the Top 50 in her category worldwide after the awards ceremony on Thursday, September 26.
Miss Carter, 33, launched her business in January 2020 during the Covid pandemic after training at Bath College and working in Lacock.
She said: “I’m really, really pleased. Finally, all the hard work has paid off. This is the first time that I’ve won a national award. It’s amazing.
“As a bronze winner, I am automatically entered into next year’s Beauty Full Awards.”
Lisa’s Beauty Room offers manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, massage, body treatments and eye treatments.
The awards judges said: “This year saw a record number of applications, with an incredible amount of highly skilled industry professionals taking part.
“After a multi-level process, our judges decided you were deserving of this award, as you displayed tremendous knowledge, skill, and presentation.”
Lisa’s Beauty Room is also a finalist in England’s Business Awards finals being held in Birmingham on Sunday, November 17 after being named the regional winner for Wiltshire in its category.
