A large power cut near Warminster and Sutton Veny has left 100 households and businesses without electricity.
The Warminster power cut, which was first reported by Scottish and Southern Electricity (SSEN) just after 1.30pm on Wednesday, October 2, is expected to last for over five hours as workers try to fix the issue.
Several homes between the Henfords Marsh and Sutton Veny area are affected, including houses on Five Ash Lane, Norton Road, Eastleigh Wood Lane and Bishopstrow Road.
Businesses on Devrill Road and the north end of Sutton Veny High Street are also being affected.
The power cut is across 13 postcode areas, particularly those in the BA12 area, and at the time of writing, 100 customers are without electricity.
SSEN predicts that power, which is being affected by a fault in the overhead network, should be restored by 7pm on Wednesday.
A spokesperson from SSEN said: “Our engineers are in the area working hard to get power restored as soon as possible.
"At this stage, based on initial investigations, we're aiming to restore power by 7pm on Wednesday, October 2.
"The cause of this power cut is a fault in our overhead network.
"This is the most common type of fault we see, and our teams are very experienced in dealing with these issues.
"In most cases, our engineers are able to get the power back on by simply replacing a fuse at the local substation, however if the fault is severe, this may take longer to fix."
