Actor, director, and author Rupert Everett will make an appearance in Wiltshire for a charity event this weekend.
Mr Everett will be at Warminster School on Saturday, October 5, for the event, which will give guests the chance to find out more about his extensive career and life experiences.
He will be interviewed by English actress Allegra Marland, known for her roles in The Crown and Goodbye Christopher Robin, on the night.
Organisers said Mr Everett will be "sure to engage his trademark candour in what promises to be an entertaining evening".
Attendees will also have the chance to speak to Mr Everett while enjoying light bites and refreshments.
The event is being held to raise funds for Julia's House Children's Hospice, which relies on public donations, fundraising, and legacies for more than 92 per cent of the money needed to maintain its services in Wiltshire and Dorset.
The hospice supports the families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, providing bespoke care for every family it supports.
Each family receives around 200 hours of free care each year, and parents can choose when, where and how they receive their care – at home, in the community, or at one of the charity’s two hospices in Devizes and Corfe Mullen.
Warminster School has been a consistent supporter of Julia's House, having recently raised £1,700 through a charity art auction, and several of its sixth form students volunteer at the charity's Warminster shop.
Mr Everett, a three-time BAFTA award nominee and a patron of Julia’s House since 2017, said: "Julia’s House is incredibly important, particularly to families who are trying to survive as a family.
"Even if life is short, it can still be full of enormous quality and meaning. I think that’s what Julia’s House can bring to a family."
He has starred in a number of high-profile Hollywood films, including the 1984 drama Another Country, alongside Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding, and in the dual role of Camilla and Carnaby Fritton in the 2007 St. Trinian’s remake.
More recently, the 65-year-old wrote, directed, and starred in the Oscar Wilde biopic, The Happy Prince, and he also stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the Oscar-nominated 2023 film, Napoleon.
Tickets for the event which will run from 7pm to 9pm, priced at £15 per person plus a booking fee, include light bites and refreshments.
