A Warminster man has walked 3,000 miles alongside his dog to raise more than £50,000 for charity.
Nick Johnson took on the challenge in memory of his late wife, Lisa, who died in 2023 after battling cancer for eight years, bringing to an end the couple's 30 year marriage.
Walking the entire English coastline, the aim was to raise £50,000 to sponsor a scientist at the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre.
Mr Johnson, who has raised £56,998 so far, said: "I walked 3,000 miles in memory of Lisa in the hope that ovarian cancer will be survivable for future generations.
"It’s been humbling and heart warming to reflect and share our story."
Ovarian cancer has the lowest survival rates among all five gynaecological cancers, with only one in three women living more than five years after diagnosis.
In the UK, it claims a woman's life every two hours, and, while survival is more likely if it is caught early, there is currently no screening tool and symptoms are often mistaken for other minor illnesses.
Ovarian Cancer Action is working to better prevent, treat, and detect ovarian cancer.
