The first headliners of a major music festival near Wiltshire have been revealed.

Forest Live will return to the Westonbirt Arboretum next June, with more top pop and rock stars performing amongst beautiful woodland surroundings.

Multiple-award-winning ‘80s legend Sting will be singing some of his greatest hits and back catalogue rarities, supported by guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas.

The former frontman of The Police will play at Westonbirt on June 18 following the launch of his Sting 3.0 world tour, with fans eager to hear Roxanne, Don’t Stand So Close To Me, Every Breath You Take, and new song I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart).

Irish pop-rock band The Script will perform on June 22, with support from Scottish singer-songwriter Tom Walker.

Following the sad loss of founding member Mark Sheehan in 2023, the band vowed that the best way to honour him would be to carry on connecting with the tight-knit community they had built together.

Their Forest Live shows come hot on the heels of a huge worldwide tour and should include songs such as Hall Of Fame, The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven.

Tickets for Sting will be on sale from 9am on Friday September 27, with The Script tickets becoming available at 10am on Saturday, September 28.

Fans can sign up for information, announcements, and exclusive pre-sale access at forestlive.com.

The arboretum in Tetbury is one of four venues hosting the outdoor concerts, which will also be held at Forestry England Cannock Chase, Delamere Forest, and High Lodge in Thetford.

Forestry England manage and care for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests.

They use the money Forest Live raises to maintain these stunning natural areas for everyone to enjoy, run important conservation projects and keep growing trees.

Last year, the organisation planted around 7.4 million trees and welcomed 285 million visits in 2023/24.

A spokesperson said: “Everyone in England lives within a one-hour drive of one of the nation’s forests. Over two million people have enjoyed the Forest Live gigs over the last 23 years.

“Forestry England welcomed 285 million visits in 2023/24. As England’s largest land manager, we shape landscapes and enhance forests for people to enjoy, wildlife to flourish and businesses to grow.”

This year sees Forestry England present the concert series in partnership with Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor for the second year running.
