Wiltshire is being battered by heavy rain as a weather warning covers much of the south of England.
A yellow rain weather warning applies to Wiltshire and Swindon, while just north a more serious amber warning applies today, September 23, until midnight.
The Met Office yellow warning states: “Areas of heavy rain may result in some disruption”, with a chance of flooding.
The amber warning provides more certainty of heavier rain, with “likely” flooding and travel disruption.

Some local businesses in Swindon were flooded by a thunderstorm on the previous weekend, with Big Breakfast Plus, a local charity cafe, being forced to close when the ground floor filled with water.
Prior to this, a tornado warning was issued with residents warned of hail, heavy rain, lightning strikes and gusty winds.
The yellow warning adds: “Areas of heavy rain are expected to affect many parts of England and Wales during Monday.
“There is still some uncertainty regarding which areas will be affected by the heaviest rain, but at this stage parts of the Midlands, northeast England and east Wales look most likely to see the greatest accumulations.
“However, anywhere within the warning area could have impactful rainfall through the course of Monday.”
