Two crashes happened in two days in the same Wiltshire town with one car flipping onto its roof.

The two incidents in Bradford on Avon happened on the evening and morning of Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13, respectively.

The town has experienced increased traffic recently following the closure of the A36 between Limpley Stoke and Monkton Coombe from Monday, August 12 to spring 2025.

The first crash occurred between two cars around 4.30pm on September 12 on the A363 Bath Road, and saw the air ambulance attend.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We responded to a road traffic collision on the A363 Bath Road in Bradford-on-Avon at about 4.30pm yesterday (13/09).

“Two cars were involved, with one ending up on its roof. The occupants of both cars were treated for minor injuries at hospital. There were no arrests.”

“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer, and an air ambulance to the scene and conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Royal United Hospital.”

The second collision on September 13 happened at around 7.30am also on the A363, on the section named Masons Lane in the town centre.

One eyewitness said: "A vehicle has lost its wheel going down Masons Lane in Bradford on Avon.”

Both incidents caused heavy congestion on top of the increased traffic expected in the area as the roads were blocked or closed by the authorities.
