FC Courthouse secured their first league win of the season with a 5-3 win against struggling Frome Town Sports A.
Courthouse got off to a great start going one up inside the first five minutes with a goal from Jake Gaines, but Karl Freeman levelled for Frome ten minutes later and they managed to hold on to just before the interval before conceding a second goal scored by Adil Bakali.
The second half saw Frome equalise through Matthew Bracher and then take the lead as he scored his second. Courthouse then stepped up a gear and equalised with a goal from Richard Bliha.
With the game heading for a draw, Courthouse grabbed the points in the last five minutes with two goals, one from Nick Gleeson and another from the man who started it all, Jake Gaines.
Heytesbury 1, Bratton 4
BRATTON leapfrogged their hosts in the table thanks to recording a 4-1 win.
Heytesbury's goal came from Paul Dredge.
Seend United Reserves 3, Broughton FC 3
SEEND United Reserves fought back from 2-0 down at the half-time interval to take a point from Broughton FC.
The visitors scored two quick first half goals and then seemed to shut up shopping thinking the points were in the bag, but with the second half only a few minutes old Seend started their comeback with a goal from Mike Haines and on the hour mark they were level with a goal from Matt Flemming.
A stunned Broughton then regained the lead as Sean Fordham scored, but Seend were then in no mood to lose the game and scored their third with two minutes left though Ollie Gee.
Trowbridge Wanderers 5, Bradford United Reserves 1
THE first home league game for Trowbridge Wanderers saw them come up against Bradford United Reserves, a team that took four points from them last season.
Bradford almost took the lead within 10 minutes, after James Wain brought down the Bradford striker in the box, however the penalty was saved by Liam Newble and Bradford's rebound was disallowed after the ball was kicked from the goalkeeper's hands.
Wanderers came to life and Nigel Penelhum scored his first goal of the season and soon after Sam Dawson got the second of the game, after some great build-up play. Paul Matthews had an indirect free kick disallowed for Trowbridge and Dan Mercer had a goal disallowed for offside, but Wanderers came back to open the margin some more when Charlie Heydon scored the goal of the game with a wind-assisted goal. Heydon whipped the ball into the top corner from beyond the edge of the box, leaving the goalkeeper stranded.
After the re-start Bradford started the stronger team and their pressure paid off when Simon Morris pulled it back to 3-1. However it wasn't the end of the match, as Dan Mercer ghosted in to score the fourth goal of the game for Wanderers.
The substitutions saw the enigmatic Shawn House come on and he almost opened his tally for Wanderers and the ever impressive Chris Penelhum gave the team the added pace needed to the final third. Trowbridge's last goal came from a terrific Charlie Heydon cross that fell Dan Mercer to head home for his second of the game and Wanderers's fifth.
