Residents in Trowbridge are being urged to nominate people who go above and beyond to contribute to their communities.
Trowbridge Town Council has opened nominations for its 2025 annual Civic Awards which honour those who have made outstanding contributions to the life of the town.
The council said: “As we approach the end of this year, nominations are now open for the Civic Award for 2025.
“The Civic Award is given to an individual who has made a difference within their local community. The recipient will be a person who has contributed to the welfare of the people of Trowbridge.
“This recognition may be for direct or indirect community service, support of charitable initiatives within the town, personal accomplishments, selfless acts that have positively influenced the residents of Trowbridge, endeavours that have advanced the town’s growth and welfare, or any other act of outstanding citizenship.”

The closing date is Tuesday, December 31 and any nominations received after this date will not be considered.
Nominees will be invited to the Annual Civic Dinner to be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, which helps to raise funds for the two mayoral charities, Stepping Stones and Trowbridge Future.
Last year’s award winners were Craig and Kerry Stone, directors of Stone Developments (Wiltshire) Ltd, who were presented with a Town Enhancement Award on Saturday, March 23 at Trowbridge Civic Centre.
Trowbridge Mayor, Cllr Stephen Cooper, presented the award for their transformation of The Ship Inn on the Frome Road, which had lain vacant since closing in 2018.
Cllr Cooper also presented individual Civic Awards to joint winners Jill Neighbour, manager of the Storehouse Foodbank, and Robert Colebourne, a volunteer with Trowbridge Town Hall, the Trowbridge Weavers Market, Trowbridge Future and The Down Cemetery.
