A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital after being allegedly assaulted by a "large group of youths" in Wiltshire.
On Wednesday, July 31 at approximately 7:15pm, a group of around 10 to 15 males, believed to be between the ages of 10 and 17, assaulted a lone male in Portway Road, Warminster, near the fire station.
The victim spent three days in hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
Officers have launched an investigation and they are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspects are believed to have been aged between 10 and 17 and some were on bikes at the time.
“We believe there were a number of cars and members of the public passing the area at the time. If this was you and you witnessed the assault, or if you have dash cam footage which could assist, please get in touch.
“Call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240089766.
