A Wiltshire teenager whose favourite artist is Adele has gained hundreds of thousands of likes online for his performance of one of her songs.

Fifteen-year-old Joshua Blake, from Wingfield near Trowbridge, was shared around the world after his performance following her concert in Munich on Saturday, August 3.

His father Barry Blake said: “After the show there was a second stage for people to be chosen to sing in front of thousands of people in the crowd.

“He was lucky enough to be picked and he chose the song Love in the Dark by Adele.

“The moment he started singing, the crowd erupted. They all instantly started cheering and getting their phones out to film.

“The performance spread over social media and quickly went viral gaining hundreds of thousands of likes and shares."

Joshua, who is a pupil at St Laurence School in Bradford on Avon, is currently on a busking tour around Europe.

Mr Blake added: “He has shown his journey through his videos on social media.

"He hopes to continue his music career in the future and aims to become a professional artist.”

Joshua’s performances can be seen on TikTok where he goes by the name of @joshblakesings.
