The following cases were heard at magistrates courts in Swindon and Salisbury.
MARLBOROUGH: On Wednesday, July 17, Mustafa El Sayed, of Compton Crescent in Northolt, Ealing, was sentenced for racially aggravated harassment of a police officer.
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to a PC in Marlborough on January 1.
He was fined £828 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £331.
MELKSHAM: On Wednesday, July 17, Qusai Ejueidi, of Bath Road, was sentenced for driving without the correct licence and insurance.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on Timber Street in Chippenham, on January 13, without the necessary licence and insurance.
He was fined £120, received six penalty points on his driving record, and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £45 victim surcharge.
HONEYSTREET: On Wednesday, July 17, Nicola Notton, of The Terrace, was sentenced for three counts of theft from a shop.
The 60-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a signed England rugby shirt, worth £80, from Wiltshire Air Ambulance in Devizes on December 9 last year.
She also pleaded guilty to stealing £170 worth of items from The White Company in Marlborough, on November 24 last year, and £174 worth of good from the town’s Space NK store the following day.
Notton was fined £50 and ordered to pay a total of £424 in compensation, £85 in costs, and a surcharge of £60.
CHIPPENHAM: On Wednesday, July 17, Joshua McGarey, of Kings Court in Rock Hill, Bromsgrove, was sentenced for driving without due care and attention and drink driving.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on the M4 near Chippenham while the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 67 microgrammes per 100 millilitres, on June 17.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and driving without insurance on the same date.
McGarey was banned from driving for two years, reduced by six months if a course is completed, and fined £300.
He must also pay £85 in costs and a £120 surcharge.
MARLBOROUGH: On Wednesday, July 17, Gary Jones, of Forest Hill, was sentenced for driving after having his driving licence revoked.
The 62-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on the A346 at Ogbourne St George, on January 9, despite having his licence revoked on account of disability.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the same date.
Jones was fined £120, received six points on his driving record, and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £48 surcharge.
TROWBRIDGE: On Wednesday, July 17, Robert Campbell, of no fixed abode in Chelsea, London, was sentenced for assault and seven counts of criminal damage.
The 40-year-old was found guilty of common assault at The Shires petrol station in Trowbridge on November 2 last year, and damaging a window belonging to Alpin House on the same date.
Between December 1 last year and January 4, Campbell committed six other acts of criminal damage in Wiltshire.
This included causing damage to a NatWest ATM in Trowbridge, the windows of a Tesco store in Trowbridge, windows at Wiltshire College’s Trowbridge campus, £4,520.27 worth of damage to vehicles at Islington Motor Group, £549.91 worth of damage to a Children’s Hospice South West unit in Trowbridge, and a window at Salisbury City Council.
Campbell was sentenced to four months behind bars due to his “flagrant disregard for people and their property” and the “serious” nature of the assault.
He was also ordered to pay £150 in compensation.
