People packed into Trowbridge Town Park on Saturday, July 13 looking to improve their fitness and try out new activities.

They all attended the Active Festival 2024 – a one-day celebration of sport and health and wellbeing within Trowbridge.

Aaron Seviour, from Active Trowbridge, organised the event with his colleague Christina Connor, Leisure Services administrator for Trowbridge Town Council.

He said: “It was a great success. It’s hard to tell but we usually get around 8,000 people attending.

“This year, we ticked off as many sports clubs as we possibly could. We are looking forward to putting on a great festival again next year.”

The Active Festival is now celebrating its 13th year and offers the opportunity to Trowbridge clubs and businesses to showcase their sport or activity.

The free festival provides visitors with the chance to try new sports and activities and to sign up for club membership.
