A cyclist was injured during an alleged robbery on a popular Wiltshire route in which his bike was stolen.
The victim, a man in his 20s, had been cycling along the Fosse Way, from Grittleton towards Sherston, shortly after 10pm on June 26.
He was reportedly pushed off his bicycle by two people riding a dirt bike and was allegedly then assaulted.
Police say he sustained bruising and swelling to his knee and was shaken up by the incident.
The suspects, who were not known to the victim, are believed to have left the scene on the victim’s bike in the direction of Sherston.
Officers are continuing to investigate the alleged attack and have launched an appeal urging any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery which occurred near Grittleton.
“If you witnessed the incident or have any further information, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240075385.
“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
