A mother who was dropping her children off at a Wiltshire school has been injured following a hit-and-run.

At around 8.30am on Friday, July 12 a woman in her 30s was hit by a van at Priestly Primary School on Prince Charles Drive, Calne.

The driver, who had hit the woman as she was taking her children to school failed to stop.

She is believed to have sustained an injury to her shoulder which is not thought to be serious.

Wiltshire Police are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson said: "The incident happened during school drop-off and we would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, including anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries.
