The three accused in connection with an alleged Devizes murder are expected to enter pleas in October.

Officers were first called to Shakespeare’s address shortly after 8pm on July 2 after reports that a man had been stabbed.

The man, who died at the scene, is yet to be formally identified but police say he is believed to be 48-year-old Raymond Groves from Hartcliffe in Bristol.

Anthony Hodges-Hillier, 33, of Brooklands, Royal Wootton Bassett, Letishia Goodwin, 29 and Helen Shakespeare, both of Strawberry Fields, Easterton have also had their next court date set.

Hodges-Hillier and Shakespeare are accused of murder and all three are accused of conspiracy to commit the murder.

They appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday, July 9 and have been remanded in custody until a plea and trial preparation hearing in Winchester Crown Court on Friday, October 18.

Shakespeare was represented by Richard Griffiths and Co, Hodges-Hillier by Walker Law, and Goodwin by Reeds Solicitors.

The victim is believed to be Shakespeare’s ex-partner Raymond Groves, 48, from Hartcliffe, Bristol although formal identification has yet to be carried out.

The court previously heard: “The crown’s case is that she stabbed her ex-partner at her home address which resulted in his death."

As of Sunday, July 7, a scene remained in place in Strawberry Fields while specialist officers continued to carry out their investigation.

At the time of the stabbing, Detective Inspector Deb Hatch said: “I’d like to send my condolences to the family and friends of the man involved," said

"Our investigation remains ongoing.”
