Police and an air ambulance rushed to a town sports bar after a fight broke out less than an hour after England's football win in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals.
The incident, which took place on Saturday evening (July 6) was spotted by a member of the public in Trowbridge who had been walking next to St Stephen's Place leisure park.
The eyewitness, who has asked not to be named, said: "About four police cars and an air ambulance left around 8pm but there were still a few that stayed there.
"No cordon or anything, but it looked like something big had happened near the Wetherspoons."
Wiltshire Police, who responded to the incident, has confirmed the emergency response was sparked by a disorder which broke out at the Legends Sports Bar in Trowbridge shortly after England won their quarter-finals match on penalties against Switzerland.
"We responded to reports of a disorder at the Legends Sports Bar, Trowbridge just before 7.30pm last night (Saturday)," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"When officers arrived at the scene there were a number of small fights taking place.
"We are still investigating what happened and would appeal for anyone who witnessed the disorder to contact us on 101 quoting the log 232 of yesterday's date (July 6)."
