Wiltshire Police and the Ministry of Defence are urging Wiltshire locals to avoid an area of Trowbridge.
The urgent warning comes after 'suspected munition' was discovered at a property in Hoopers Pool in Trowbridge and a cordon was put in place.
Wiltshire Police say that officers had originally been at the property on Wednesday, June 26, to execute a warrant.
"A man in his 60s was arrested at the property on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
But what was perhaps even more concerning was the suspected explosives which were then discovered at the property and sparked an emergency response.
As of Wednesday evening, June 26, specialists from the Ministry of Defence are attending the scene as a precaution to ensure public safety, and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area while the cordon is in place.
