A driver has been reported after being spotted driving “erratically” on the M4.

Wiltshire Specialist Operations shared that the grey hatchback was spotted by a road policing unit

The post from June 22 states that when pulled over, the driver was found not to be entitled to drive in the UK.

As a result, the car was seized and the driver was reported.

Cars that officers have reasonable grounds to believe are not being driven with a suitable driving license can be seized under Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

The driver is then given a seizure notice by the officer at the roadside. They must attend a police station to begin to reclaim their car.

Drivers of seized cars must pay the storage fees and have 15 days from the date of receiving the seizure notice to reclaim the vehicle.

Wiltshire Police do not explain how drivers get home once their car has been seized.
