POLICE are investigating break-ins at two empty shops in Trowbridge town centre in which power tools and a safe were stolen.

They are the former Coral bookmakers store in Fore Street and the empty British Heart Foundation store in Fore Street.

The incidents are believed to have taken place overnight on Wednesday/Thursday, June 12 and 13.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating after we received reports of burglaries at two stores in Fore Street, Trowbridge, overnight from June 12 to June 13.

“Power tools were stolen from one of the stores, and a safe from another.

“Our enquiries are ongoing.

“Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54240069038.”
