A Wiltshire man has died after a serious crash on the A350.
Dorset Police were called to a collision on the A350 Main Road near Compton Abbas, North Dorset, at around 7.45pm on Thursday, June 6.
The incident involved a silver Audi TT Quattro, a grey BMW 218I, and a pedestrian who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed the pedestrian was a man in his 60s from Warminster.
His family has been informed.
A 19-year-old man from Shaftesbury and a man in his 20s from Mere have since been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
Police have been carrying out examinations of the scene and enquiries remain ongoing.
Sergeant Mike Burt said: “Our thoughts are with the family and the loved ones of the man who very sadly died in this collision.
“We are carrying out a full investigation to establish the circumstances of the collision and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.
“These are absolutely necessary to allow for a thorough examination of the collision scene.”
