Wiltshire's motorists will have 22 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

One of them is expected to cause severe delays, with drivers facing a holdup of at least 30 minutes. Another four will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 11.59pm April 27 2021 to midnight, July 31 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 17 to 16 eastbound, 24hr hard shoulder closure for carriageway defect repair.

• A36, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Beckington to Ower mobile lane closures for drainage.

A further 12 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A419, from 8pm June 4 to 6am June 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A419 southbound, carriageway closure Spine Road, junction to Lady Lane junction.

• A419, from 8pm June 10 to 6am June 14, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A419 northbound, carriageway closure Turnpike, junction to Cricklade, junction for Cyclic maintenance.

• M4, from 9pm June 10 to 6am June 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 16 to 17 lane closure for electrical works.

• M4, from 9pm June 10 to 6am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 16 to junction 17 lane closures for structure renewal.

• A36, from 9.30am to 3pm on June 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both directions South Newton, Stop and go for drainage works.

• M4, from 8pm June 11 to 6am July 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 17 lane closure for barriers.

• A419, from 9pm June 13 to 6am June 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 16 to 15 carriageway closure for electrical work, diversion via A3102, B4006, B4289, A4313, A4312, A4259 and A419.

• M4, from 6am June 14 to 8pm July 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 17 hard shoulder closure for barriers.

• A36, from 9pm June 14 to 4am June 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both directions Alderbury, lane closure for barrier repairs.

• A36, from 8pm June 17 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound, Whiteparish, lane closure for technology works. (No access to Brickworth road from A36 N/B).

• M4, from 8pm June 17 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 16 to 17, lane closures for carriageway repairs.

• A303, from 9pm June 17 to 5am June 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 both directions Deptford to Longbarrow Roundabout carriageway closures for resurfacing, diversion via A36, B390, A360.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
