DRIVERS were urged to avoid the A361 near Trowbridge after an accident blocked the road in both directions.
The road traffic collision on the A361 at the Stoney Gutter crossroads junction involves a white Mazda and a red vehicle.
Police said they responded to reports of a road traffic collision at 2.30pm.
Police closed the road in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "There were no reported serious injuries or arrests. The road was closed for about two hours while the vehicles were recovered."
