A new mayor has been unanimously elected in Bradford on Avon to take on the role until May 2025.
Cllr Jack Vittles, who has been a town councillor since 2021, will succeed Councillor Katie Vigar as mayor.
He said: “I am truly honoured to have been elected mayor and chair of the council and to follow on from Cllr Vigar.
“I would like to pay tribute to all her hard work during the past two years and offer my sincere thanks on behalf of the whole town and town council.

“I am anticipating a really productive and exciting year ahead and look forward to working constructively with all my fellow councillors, town council staff and terrific volunteers to continue to improve our wonderful town.
"I am particularly excited to see how we can continue to improve and expand our events, play parks and facilities for young families in our town.”
Bradford on Avon councillors also elected a new deputy mayor – Cllr Sam Blackwell.
“I am very grateful to be elected by fellow councillors to serve the town as deputy mayor and deputy chair of the council this year with all the opportunities the role brings to get more involved in the community,” said Cllr Blackwell.
