A CLOTHES shop will close its doors for the last time this year.
Matalan, in Southampton Road, is set to leave Salisbury in June after two decades as the fashion chain looks to reshuffle its stores.
Described as a "one-stop fashion and homeware shop", Matalan was founded in 1985.

A Matalan spokesperson said the company's priority is to support its employees and offer them alternative positions at other stores where possible.
They added: "We continuously evaluate our store estate on a case-by-case basis to ensure that we have the optimal mix as an omnichannel retailer.
"This involves exploring new openings – and we currently have five in the pipeline – investing in our existing network of stores, and as on this occasion, select closures.
"Our full range of products remain available via the Matalan website and app, and in our network of stores across the south east. We would like to thank all our customers for shopping with us during our time in Salisbury.”
Once Matalan Salisbury closes, customers will have to travel to Eastleigh or Southampton to visit the nearest stores.
