A church which was burgled just after Easter is now desperately appealing for help finding its stolen chalices and silverware.
Members of Holy Trinity Church in Bradford on Avon did not discover that the church had been broken into until April 5, when they discovered that church silverware and a Holy Communion chalice of significant historic importance had been stolen.
Police believe that the thieves entered the church and broke into the locked Sacristy and metal safe containing the silverware at some point between March 31 and April 4.
"The items included chalices and items used for Holy Communion services and these items are of historic interest and important to the Church," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"If you have any information about who stole these items or know of their whereabouts, please report and quote reference 54240038783."
Holy Trinity Church are still hopeful that with the help of police and the public, they might be able to retrieve the stolen goods.
