Bradford on Avon Town Council has launched a crowdfunding appeal to raise £100,000 to help pay for more equipment to improve the Poulton Park play area.
The town council is already spending £80,000 on the first phase of the project but feedback from a recent survey showed many residents wanted a more ambitious design.
A council spokesperson said: "As the new design is more expensive, we’re going to have to split this project into phases with the first phase due to start in June.
"We’re working hard to secure the additional funding to complete the project, but we’re also aware the community and local businesses may wish to contribute.”
The town council is spending £80,000 on the first phase but needs to secure a further £100,000 to complete the project.
The Bradford on Avon Playing Field Association charity has been set up to help apply for more funding.
The charity now has a platform on Give as You Live where anyone can make a one-off donation or set up a fundraising event page for the charity.
If you or your business would like to make a substantial donation to the fund, contact Bradford on Avon Town Council directly at office@bradfordonavontowncouncil.gov.uk
