A tree has fallen on a road near Devizes causing it to be closed.
Wiltshire Police have said that the B3098, Little Cheverell is closed between Dauntsey School and Little Cheverell Town Hall due to a tree blocking the road
They added that the council have been informed and would advise drivers to seek alternative routes.
The police thanked drivers for their patience.
Earlier the Met Office issued an urgent weather warning saying that the majority of England, Northern Ireland and Wales is set to be buffeted by strong winds, including Swindon and Wiltshire.
It says that a yellow weather warning for wind is now in place from 6.25am on Monday morning through to 10pm on Monday evening.
A spokesperson said: "Strong winds may cause some disruption through Monday."
People have been warned to expect that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely and 'probably; some bus and train services will be affected, with some journeys taking longer
It adds that delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are likely.
Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible.
