A driver nearly caused a three-car crash just outside the entrance to a police station.
The motorist failed to give way when exiting Station Hill at the top of Monkton Hill in Chippenham and was issued a ticket on March 22.
Police have noticed an increase in near-miss collisions at the junction at the top of Monkton Hill, with motorists failing to give way and driving too fast when exiting via Station Hill.

A statement by Chippenham Police states: “Police have noticed an increase in near-miss collisions at the junction at the top of Monkton Hill, where motorists are failing to give way when exiting via Station Hill, usually exiting at excessive speeds for the road.
“Today, a motorist has been issued a ticket for failing to give way, almost causing a three-way collision.
“This particular junction is next to the exit and entrance of the Council and Police building, which is very frequently used.
“Police will continue to issue tickets in cases of near-miss collisions, so please do give way where required to do so.”
