STAFF at a luxury Wiltshire hotel are celebrating after being awarded Gold at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2024 for looking after their clients.

Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, which sits at the heart of the 2,000-acre Bowood Estate at Derry Hill near Calne, was recognised for offering a memorable and immersive guest experience.

Its team won Gold in the ‘Spa and Wellbeing Experience of the Year’ category at the finals’ ceremony in the Great Hall of Exeter University, beating Your Best You at the Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol.

Jeff Condliffe, general manager at Bowood Hotel, said “We're thrilled to claim the Gold spot in the region for our spa.

“This is a great achievement for the spa team, who have had a particularly strong past year, introducing the new twilight spa package, as well as receiving recognition from several prestigious trade associations.

At the end of last year, Bowood joined the exclusive ranks of being only one of two AA Recommended Spas in Wiltshire, as well as achieving ‘5 bubble spa’ status from the Good Spa Guide.
