Staff and customers at a major high street bank in Trowbridge were locked out of the building for nearly three hours for their own safety on Wednesday (February 7).
The staff were told to leave the branch in Fore Street at 1.45pm and at least three police vehicles and South Western Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene.
A woman was later seen by witnesses being removed from the building and staff and customers were not allowed back in until just before the branch reopened at 4.30pm.
The incident happened at the same time that a security company employee called at the branch to collect cash.
A Lloyds Bank spokesperson said: “Our Lloyds Bank branch in Trowbridge was temporarily closed earlier but will re-open tomorrow as normal."
Wiltshire Police have been approached for more details and a comment.
