Five people have been arrested following a disorder outside a Wiltshire supermarket before Christmas.
The incident happened in the early hours of December 21, 2023, when police were called to the area outside Sainsbury’s in The Pippin, Calne.
Wiltshire Police report that a woman had sustained an injury to her leg during the disorder.
The force says that enquiries have been ongoing and they have now arrested five people on suspicion of affray.
These included a 20-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man from Calne, as well as a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old girl from Corsham.
All of these suspects have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
T/Sgt Ben Peacock said: “Despite those involved refusing to engage with officers, we understand a concerning disorder took place.
“We will not tolerate this type of behaviour on our streets.
“We are committed to keeping our towns as safe as possible and we have been conducting an extensive investigation into this incident.
“As a result, we arrested five individuals over the weekend who have all been interviewed.
“We would continue to appeal for witnesses to the disorder – were you in the area near to Sainsbury’s in the early hours of December 21, or do you have any dash cam or doorbell footage which could assist our enquiries? Please get in touch.”
Police say that anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230134977.
