A video of residents at a Trowbridge care home enjoying a silent disco has gone viral on TikTok with over 4.5 million views within 72 hours.

The Goodson Lodge care home, run by not-for-profit care provider The Orders of St John Care Trust, organised the event as part of the home’s ‘Beat the January Blues’ activities for residents.

Top Tik Tok comments included: “This seems like the most wonderful nursing home everyone seems so lovely and caring it makes me so extremely happy and emotional. (Emma_ada)”

Judy said: “It was rather exciting to be part of the silent disco, and to enjoy a new experience.

“I like to do new things and try new experiences, and I liked trying different music.  I would do it again – there was a great playlist for everyone to enjoy!”

Given the popularity of the event at the time, and subsequently on social media, OSJCT Goodson Lodge plans to organise another silent disco for residents in coming weeks, with residents helping to choose the playlist.
