Wiltshire Council has received a planning application for a landscaped garden in the grounds of an independent prep school.
Salisbury Cathedral School was founded in 1091 and is located in the Grade I building that was formerly known as Bishop’s Palace.
The area that is proposed for development sits between the school buildings and tennis courts.
The application states: “The garden layout design has been carefully considered and presents an opportunity for pupils to learn about the environment and sustainability, with responsibility for nurturing seeds and plants by working together leading to team building skills and socialisation.”
In other planning news, Wiltshire Council received a proposal for a surfaced and lit path that would connect the new development at East Melksham to Melksham Oak School and join the A365 via a route through Woolmore Farm.
