This Christmas marks the strange anniversary of the time two former Love Islanders accidentally found themselves in a Wiltshire leisure park.
In a vlog released on December 23, 2022, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, who met on the 2019 edition of Love Island, documented their “cosy weekend” in Bath to nearly two million subscribers on YouTube.
But their winter getaway took an unexpected turn when the pair left the city to look for a “rustic” rural town, only to end up at St Stephen’s Leisure Park in Trowbridge.
The reality stars ate brunch at what appeared to be Valeroso Lounge before Molly-Mae filmed herself in the snow, stood in front of the Odeon cinema and Wagamama.
Speaking in the car as they prepared to leave Wiltshire to return to Bath, the couple admitted that Trowbridge was not quite what they bargained for.
Molly-Mae said: “So basically guys, I thought I was taking Tommy to some rustic town, I basically just keep failing.
“You keep saying to me, ‘just google somewhere to go’, and I do and then it’s… anyway.”
Tommy added: “It’s hilarious.”
With Trowbridge seemingly not what the celebrity couple had hoped for, it seems unlikely they will be returning again this Christmas.
