A Wiltshire pub could be listed as an asset of community value under new plans.
Wiltshire Council has received a nomination for The Barleycorn in Collingbourne Kingston, a village 10 miles outside Marlborough.
Collingbourne Kingston Parish Council is concerned over the future of the pub and hopes that asset of community value status could save it.
Parish councillors say recent changes in the tenancy could mean the pub is at risk.
The nomination says: “The Barleycorn is the only village amenity, there being no shop or other public house.”
It adds: “Loss of this amenity would have an enormous impact on the community of Collingbourne Kingston, and its hamlets Aughton and Brunton.”
Work has also been given the go-ahead at Hop Pole Inn in Limpley Stoke, Bath to manage ground water saturation and improve ground floor walls and floors.
A former police station and residential accommodation at 45 Russell Street in Wilton will become two new homes.
