More than 500 households in Wiltshire have been left without power today.
A total of 44 postcodes and 552 residents in the Melksham and Trowbridge area are affected as Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSE) are sending an engineer to the site.
The power cut was first reported at 10.55am on Thursday, November 2, and the Southern power supplier say they hope to restore power by 6pm.
Although the exact cause of this power cut is unclear, Scottish and Southern Electricity Network are experiencing an increased amount of power cuts due to Storm Ciaran which battered Wiltshire last night with heavy rain and strong winds.
The company have issued a yellow alert for Central Southern England today due to the storm.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity said: "We're very sorry for the power cut today. Storm Ciaran is bringing strong winds and heavy rain to the south coast and that is causing damage to our network.
"We will be dispatching engineers as soon as it's safe to do so. In the meantime, our control centre is working hard to remotely try and get power back on for as many customers as possible."
