A Wiltshire company is celebrating the meteoric rise of one of its high-flying graduates who has scooped a top food and drink industry award.
Malcolm Biggar originally joined Trowbridge-based apetito on its market-leading graduate scheme in 2020.
Malcolm was subsequently appointed to the role of project manager to Paul Freeston, apetito’s chair and chief executive officer for the UK and North America.
Three years later, he has scooped the highly- coveted Rising Star Award at this year’s Food and Drink Federation Awards.
Malcolm said: “I’m honoured and delighted to be recognised in this way.
“apetito is a business that has given me immense support and opportunity over the past three years, and I genuinely love my work. I feel as if I can make a real difference, which has been a powerful motivator for me.”
He has recently taken a two-year secondment and joined apetito’s business in Canada looking to support the company’s journey as it strengthens its operation overseas.
Mr Freeston added: “Malcolm has always demonstrated exceptional commitment and passion for his work. His award is truly deserved, and he is, indeed, a rising star with a great future ahead.
“The FDF recognises emerging talent within the Food & Drink industry, and we are proud to have such a fantastic team within our business.”
