Trowbridge residents interested in law and order are being invited to quiz Wiltshire’s new Chief Constable Catherine Roper.
They are being invited to a meeting of the Trowbridge Area Board at County Hall on Thursday, October 5, which starts at 7pm.
The invitation to question the Chief Constable comes from Cllr Antonio Piazza, the new chair of the Trowbridge Area Board.
He said: “I want to invite residents in the local Trowbridge area community to a policing Q&A event at County Hall this Thursday at 7pm.
“Our new Chief Constable, Catherine Roper, will provide an update on policing in Wiltshire followed by an opportunity to ask questions.”
Having graduated Cardiff University with an LLB in Law and Politics, Ms Roper joined the Metropolitan Police Service in 2000, initially working in frontline policing in South London before qualifying as a detective.
Her career has spanned many areas of policing, including specialist crime, armed unit, custody, intelligence, protection, professional standards and crime prevention.
Cllr Piazza added: “Catherine is immensely qualified and experienced for her role and I look forward to welcoming her on Thursday. If you have questions about policing, now is your moment to step up and ask the Chief Constable.”
